Traveling is exciting, but add to it multiple layovers and hours spent running to catch planes and it becomes tiring. The key to making a flight not only bearable but enjoyable is knowing what to bring with you on board! I decided to compile a list of carry-on essentials I have with me on every flight.
My 9 Carry-On Essentials:
1) A Small Notebook
I like to write whatever crosses my mind: thoughts, blog post ideas, to-do lists, etc…
Being in the air for hours gives me time to think and get creative and productive, it’s really therapeutic.
2) Eye Mask
Let’s be honest, you can’t really control who’s opening windows around you and I like to get some sleep because I often travel around 4 am.
3) Pillow
Speaking of sleep, we all have that one favorite pillow we use when we travel.
I take mine with me because it seems impossible to find any comfortable pillows on board.
I’m either choosing the wrong airlines or simply unlucky!
4) Face Care
My face dries up completely in the air, so I always have the Eucerin Hydrating Care cream with me, a Beesline Lip Balm for chapped lips, and a BB Cream.
(For those of you who don’t know, a BB cream stands for Blemish Balm or Blemish Base.
BB cream is a foundation, moisturizer, and sunblock skincare product.
I use the Garnier BB cream after the Eucerin when in need!)
5)Passport & Docs
This goes without saying. It’s obvious that you should carry your passport and travel documents with you. But here’s a little tip: always keep them within reach, so you don’t have to stand for what seems like ages in front of security controls.
Make your life easier by being more organized in your trips!
6) Podcasts
Instead of settling for a movie I usually like to listen to podcasts.
I download them onto my phone before the flight.
In that case, you could use earphones or noise-canceling headphones.
7) Backup Clothes
I pack at least one full outfit: t-shirt +shorts/pants + underwear + socks, just in case my luggage gets lost!
Add to that a jacket for when it gets cold on board.
8) Roll on
Do I really need to explain that?
9)Advil
Migraines & headaches are my best friends.
So Advil became mine too!
Those are my top 9 favorite items, what about yours? 🙂
Let me know in the comments!
